Deduru Oya dynasty's Megha tusker
It's been 4 years since last June 20th that the Megha tusker King who was a royal tusker king belonging to the Deduru Oya generation who lived in Wilpattu National Park.
Digha 1 , 2 as well as the killed Siambalangamuwa tusker , this Deduru Oya generation royal tusker king is also known as Vayadikulam tusker and his normal migration process is to come to Wilpattu National Park through Vyadikulam, Thekkama and then migrate back to Wilachchiya area.
The right ear was also rotted, unable to stand due to severe head injuries after a duel with another tusker or an elephant with worm tusks.
Although the officials of Anuradhapura Veterinary Unit and Wilpattu National Park tried to cure the tusker king, the tusker king died on June 20, 2020.
