We always talk about elephants. Today we are making a difference and the good that elephants do to the environment. Otherwise, we will see why elephants are so important.
This is how they benefit the environment a lot. I hope to make them clear in a few short posts. Because we want to say this simply in a way that everyone can understand.
First of all, elephants are known as a keystone species in the environment. It means that every living being has services to this world or to nature. There are some people who can more or less cover the rest of their work with another group of organisms. But there are some people, if their work is lost, the whole ecosystem will collapse. No other living part can cover them.
Those kind of people are called elephants. If they disappear from our environment, the whole ecosystem will not be as it is. It begins to crumble. By saying this, you will understand how important they are to this nature.
You ask me what is the matter with them so much. Yes, there are many things they do for the environment.
Let's see what it is. Elephant is one of the largest land mammals. And they have a strong and big body.
We also call them ecosystem engineers. They create new ecosystems, change them and maintain ecosystems.
The holes formed by their big feet contribute to creating a small ecosystem. Let me tell you a little story. Let's imagine that when a herd of elephants regularly come to a lake to drink water, their footprints turn into holes and small water holes form in places near the lake. Because of this, other small animals do not have to go to the lake to drink water.
You can quench your thirst with this hole. It protects them. Suppose there are crocodiles in that lake. Since they are not in small pits like this, innocent animals can drink water safely without fear. Also, frogs get a habitat for mosquitoes to lay their eggs in these pits.
There are many more things to talk about them. Let's get to know them little by little. If there is any mistake in the mentioned facts, please correct them
