A mother elephant and her cub

 A wild elephant mother and her calf who fell into an unprotected cultivation well are rescued safely.

Polonnaruwa Site and Manampitiya Bittu officials are working to release gallons of water to Nimma Valley National Park, where a mother elephant and her calf, which had fallen into an unsafe cultivation well in the Polonnaruwa Divulana area, were safely recovered.
